I finished Soleil. I think it's gonna be ok. I guess I'll decided for sure when I get to wear it. Right now it's too cold to wear to work and see if it's comfortable. I still haven't decided how to make this whole blog/pic thing work so everything looks good. Oh well. I went to the Mission Rose in North Syracuse with Lisa and I bought a ton of yarn. It's a beautiful store. They have a very good selection of sweater yarn. I bought yarn to make the Citrus Yoke Pullover from the winter 07 Interweave Knits magazine. It's Berrocco Peruvia and it's a dark purple color. I also had to have this Cashmere yarn to make a ribbed scarf. The balls were $20 each and you needed 3, but it came in a kit with 3 balls for $48! I had to have it. Here's a pic of the finished product. It feels so soft against my skin and I'm going to love wearing it. I've been working diligently on the Eyelet Cardi made with some beautiful alpaca that I purchased at Rhinebeck. I like working with the alpaca more now that I bought some addi turbo needles. I found the alpaca hard to work with on bamboo needles. It doesn't slide as easily as wool. Here's a pic of what I have done so far.
While working on these 2 sweaters I'm still plugging along on my monkey socks. They take some concentration so when I need mindless knitting I pull out the alpaca sweater. My vacation is near over. I go back to work tomorrow. Then it's a good 4 weeks or so until Easter when we get more time off. My poor husband is very sicks right now, I think he may have pneumonia. I've been taking care of him as much as I can. I hope when he sees the DR tomorrow they give him some good drugs so he can get better fast. In the mean time, homemade chicken noodle soup soothes the soul. Back to some knitting!
