Red is the appropriate color for this blog. I finally received my first shipment of the RSC yesterday afternoon. I was so excited. The color isn't somehting I'd have chosen, but is still beautiful. It is called Dragon Dance! On the inside is a cute little picture with a special name that you have to look up to find out what it means. Mine is Falkor and that comes from the Neverending Story and apparently has something to do with good luck! The pattern that came with it looks easy, although I can't seem to get the yarn to stripe. I'm going to have to check out their blog and look for some more suggestions, 
otherwise I'm just not going to care. I like when it pools too. It also came with the binder which is nice, a bumper sticker, 2 buttons, and an emergency sock skein on a key chain! There is info about sock camp, which I couldn't go to anyway because I already have a trip planned for that week. It sounds like fun, but I don't know if I'd like to go by myself and not know anyone. I finished my Rosebud socks this morning and immediately cast on my new RSC yarn. This is going to be so cool. Lisa, I hope you like the pics!

The color is great isn't it? I clicked over from the STR blog. It's so nice to see another north country girl!! I'm in Rochester currently, but I grew up near Ogdensburg. It's my first year in the club as well. Great fun. Hope you enjoy your socks.
Hi - thanks for the note. Did you go from Spirit Work's in Rochester to Rhinebeck?
We were definitely on the same trip. That's pretty cool. It is amazing what a small world it is sometimes. Spirit Works is a great shop and the people are a lot of fun. I'm off for a few days and will be going over for a visit today.
